Trig Points Race

Approximately 26.5k with 540 metres of climb ( FRA category CL) - mainly on tracks and paths. There will be a compulsory retirement cut off at Moors Gorse at 65 minutes on the outward leg and runners not meeting this will be required to not proceed to Castle Ring but return to the finish.

Early Start: TAKE NOTE - We are able to offer the option of an early start to accomodate the less fast of you. I kindly ask anyone who thinks they will take over 3hrs to use this option.

All others - start is 11.00 to east of Dora Rose nursing home, Milford Common, 10 minutes’ walk from registration - do not park here please.

Pre entry only by Monday 6th January 2027, will be through the SI entry system
Fees are £13 for FRA members or £15 for non-FRA.
Entries open mid October, limit 175 competitors

CAR PARK and REGISTRATION

Location: Milford Hall Cricket Club, Main Road, Milford, ST17 0UL.
Registration: from 09.40 and closes at 10.30 prompt.
Race briefing: at 10.50 at the start.
START: to east of Dora Rose nursing home, Milford Common (10 minutes’ walk from registration)

Important Information

  • There will be no drinks provided at the Moors Gorse check point.
  • SI timing will be used and runners will be allocated “dibbers” to be collected at registration. There will be a charge of £40 for any dibber lost or not returned on the day.
  • FRA mandatory kit: full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, map, whistle and compass must be worn or carried. There will be checks and “no kit, no go” strictly imposed.
  • 2 minute time-out both ways at Moors Gorse to allow for safe road crossing.
  • NOTE: 65 minute cut-off point on outward leg at Moors Gorse, anyone exceeding this is required to not proceed to Castle Ring but instead return directly to Milford.
  • Results will be posted on the Mercia web site within 24 hours.
  • Toilets will be available at both the Cricket Club and Milford Common.

Post-Race

There will be (free) POST RACE REFRESHMENTS and time to socialise at the Cricket Club. Male and Female changing rooms and showers will be available.
